Witchy Intuition: Listening to My Body

Witchy Intuition: Listening to My Body is all about witchy wellness, healing foods, and healing witchcraft with the Green Hearth Witch! Lately, I’ve had a bit of an epiphany about my body and wellness. I’ve come to realize that my body moves in cycles, and it whispers to me all the time.

I’m going to write more about holistic health and wellness on my blog. This is something I’ve had a desire to do for a long time, but I kept waiting for the right moment. That moment is now.

In the past, I enjoyed writing green kitchen witch recipes! Green kitchen witch recipes are plant-based. I’m a vegetarian and haven’t had meat in well over twelve years at the time I’m writing this.

I stopped creating recipes many years ago. At the time, I gave up because I didn’t have the money to invest in the tools and equipment I would need to produce quality plant-based recipes. At that time in my life, I was so broke that I sometimes barely had money for food.

I’ve come to learn ways to incorporate DIY green kitchen witch wands! This means some kitchen witch tools can be found in and around the kitchen. Not everything has to be an additional purchase if you’re creative enough!

In the past, I also enjoyed talking about my yoga practice, hiking in the forest, meditation, and soul nourishment. I’ve always had a fondness for whole foods, especially fruits and vegetables.

Part of my witchy intuition is leading me into green hearthcraft! With green hearthcraft, I do much of my practice at home and in my garden, while still wildcrafting in the heart of nature several days a week.

I’ll be writing about witchy wellness, as the health of a witch is different from that of someone who doesn’t practice magic. How is it different? Healing witchcraft is where I can focus on magical and practical ways to heal and nourish the body.

Sometimes, that means sharing my favorite herbs for medicinal uses. I often collect and harvest wild herbs and plants for natural remedies. Sometimes, that includes mushroom witchcraft for grounding rituals and grounding foods.

I’ll also be sharing food profiles on my blog! Food plant monographs are a little different from plant monographs to me. They can be used as recipes for herbivores like me!

My witchy intuition is leading me in a new direction! It is like a road-opening spell for the green witch at heart. I find myself listening to cues from my body and health.

Witchy Intuition: Listening to My Body

I find myself listening to the whispers of my body and health. Lately, it feels like my body is telling me to slow down. Springtime turned out to be a busy season of life, with lots of travel and family gatherings!

At this time, I am shifting my focus to calm and soothing activities. Everything from stretching gently on my yoga mat to forest bathing creates a feeling of peace and calm within me.

I live in Florida, where summers are long and languishing. This creates a feeling of kinfolk-style, slow living, even in the best of us. It forces our bodies to move more slowly and deliberately.

Summer witchcraft here is different from that in other places because of the slower, calmer pace. Lately, this has made me slow down and spend more time indoors.

When I do go outside, it’s either to ride my bike casually with my boyfriend or to take a walk in the woods. The more time I spend in nature, the more I slow down, and the more I listen to what my body is trying to say.

During the summer solstice, I shift all of my energy into my health and well-being! I’ve been working on getting in the best shape of my life, slowly and deliberately.

I’m going to be honest with you, I’m not at my ideal weight, but I’m also not scrambling to get the weight off. This is what I would have done in the past.

These days, I’m choosing to focus on eating more fruits and vegetables, as they are more nutrient-dense than other foods. Along with nuts and egg protein, it keeps me feeling full longer, which helps me avoid overeating.

I’m also focusing on getting in the best shape of my life, versus focusing on weight. As someone who has had an eating disorder in the past, this is challenging for me.

I’m listening to what my body needs right now. It seems that my body is craving fruits and vegetables, as well as lots of salads. Last night for dinner, I made a summer salad with goat cheese and strawberries with lots of greens!

Honestly, I’m not much of a cook, but I can make incredible acai bowls, green smoothies, and delicious salads filled with colorful fruits, vegetables, nuts, and cheeses. Yum!

I’m going to be sharing my salad recipes here! I am learning how to cook, and I find that mastering one or two things that I’m good at helps me hone my craft. All of my plant-based meals are crafted into spells for green witch recipes.

Being a kitchen witch is something that I aspire to be! I’m a practicing kitchen witch, but I’d like to find mastery over this type of witchcraft.

I’m also listening to my body as it tells me to accept myself as I am. It doesn’t mean that I can’t strive to be better or improve my health. It simply means that I accept myself wabi-sabi style, flaws, and all.

My witchy intuition is listening to my body! My body desires to be healthier and even more fit than I am now. My body desires to slow down and find calm and stillness in the little things in life. I’m so glad you could join me!
