The Green Hearth Witch Weight-Loss Witchcraft: Spells, Vitamins, and Recipes for Losing Weight

Weight-Loss Witchcraft: Spells, Vitamins, and Recipes for Losing Weight with The Green Hearth Witch! Enchant a yoga mat, create a weight-loss servitor, and work with deities who can help you lose weight.

This is my witchy guide to weight-loss witchcraft, with spells, vitamins, and recipes for shedding pounds! My favorite things in life are eating a plant-based diet and moving my body. In this article, I’ll discuss what works for me as my body moves in cycles and I approach a healthy weight through both magical and mundane means.

As a solitary green witch, plant life, in all forms, including plant-based foods, tends to be a driving force in my life. I revolve my life around it.

There are foods I choose that ground and center me. These types of foods typically include mushrooms, potatoes, and root vegetables. Foods like these directly impact my root chakra!

Some foods make me heart-centered and affect my emotional landscape. These foods typically include strawberries, avocados, watermelons, and tomatoes. Even a leafy green vegetable like sorrel can bring a certain amount of affection into my heart chakra!

Purple foods like purple onion, beetroot, and lavender tea affect my crown chakra, magically altering my highest state and mood. These types of foods give me a sense of passion and depth that connect me to my higher self, my deities, and the spirits I work with.

Other types of plant-based foods, like blueberries, grapes, and purple cabbage, impact my mind and memories. They lie directly in my third-eye chakra, opening up my psychic abilities, and allowing me to see things beyond the naked eye.

The bright orange color of carrots can bring forth clarity to even the most confusing situations. Carrots can be used for truth serum spells!

When I want to bring out my fun, creative side or connect with my inner child, I turn to fruit-based popsicles made with bananas, chia seeds, and pineapple! This connects me with the yellow color of my sacral chakra, which lies in my stomach.

Each day, I use my witchy intuition to listen to my body! But, what does all of this have to do with weight loss and witchcraft?

As a plant witch, I use herbal spells, natural vitamins, and green kitchen witch recipes to lose weight. I combine the magical and the mundane in weight-loss witchcraft!

It’s a proven fact that 80% of weight loss comes from diet and 20% from exercise. So, I focus on eating healthy and taking vitamins that support metabolism first and foremost. I also exercise several days a week consistently.

But, how does magick play into this? Everything from enchanting my yoga mat to mushroom decomposer weight-loss spells can go hand-in-hand with the everyday mundane magic of losing weight for every kind of witch out there!

Weight-Loss Witchcraft: Spells, Vitamins, and Recipes for Losing Weight

In this article, you’ll learn how to lose weight using everyday mundane kitchen witch magic! With my diet and exercise style, you’ll come to appreciate the weight-loss challenge set before you.

Losing weight isn’t easy, witchcraft practitioner or not. Along the way, I’ve learned how to use the magic of everyday kitchen and exercise items to increase my metabolism and to spark weight loss.

Witchcraft wellness is a great way to balance your body and your practice! You’ll come to find and design a system that works for you by putting your faith, trust, and, of course, hard work into it using my methods.

In the past year, I’ve gained some weight, and I’m not happy about it. However, it’s okay to say that my body moves in cycles, and this is just one of them.

I believe changing hormones and a changing lifestyle have a lot to do with what’s happening to my body. For one thing, I turned forty-seven this year, and my hormones and moon cycles are changing all the time. For you, it might be something else.

I’ve also been in a serious relationship for over a year and a half, and my whole routine and rituals have changed because of this. My partner and I have a lot of fun together, and on the weekends, probably drink too much wine. These are things I’m working on, magical and mundane.

I’m happy. Like, over the moon happy. But I have a lot of stress in my life, and now I’ve gained some weight. I look healthy, and I’m in pretty good shape, but I’m ready to get back to being fully me.

I’ve created this magical weight-loss routine for myself and for anyone who wishes to lose weight! Maybe you’re fed up with fad diets, or your current diet is no longer working for you. Maybe you’ve gained a little weight, too.

This witchy weight loss program can help! Whether you want to lose a little vanity weight or maintain your current weight, magic has a place in weight-loss witchcraft.

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor or a nutritionist. For healthy weight loss, I recommend seeking the guidance of a medical practitioner or certified nutritionist. I cannot promise you will lose weight with this program, but I can offer guidance and weight loss tips! The rest is up to you. I take no responsibility for your health or weight-loss efforts.

Eating Healthy: Plant-Based Witchcraft

The number one path to fat loss is to eat a healthier diet! This means including whole foods and plant-based foods in your daily diet, preferably at each meal.

I’m a vegetarian, so eating a whole foods, plant-based diet goes without saying for me. Even if you’re a meat eater, you can still include more fruits, veggies, and whole grains in your snacks and meals.

You don’t have to be a stickler about this. If you want an ice cream cone once a week, I say go for it! Restricting yourself only makes cravings worse.

For the most part, you’ll want to add plant-based foods to each of your meals in some way. I make a giant salad for my boyfriend and me once a week. I change it up every time and put intention into it! I’ll be sharing some of my magical salad recipes here.

What is plant-based witchcraft? Plant-based witchcraft is witchcraft derived from nature and plants. It’s the green kitchen witchcraft recipes made up of salads, green smoothies, and acai bowls.

Except with plant-based witchcraft, you are going to put your intention into what you eat. For example, I put protection into the scrambled eggs I eat for breakfast. I also add protective ingredients such as sea salt and black pepper.

You are going to choose an intention that aligns with the meal's magical and medicinal properties. In some cases, like with salad, you can choose how you want the salad to make you feel, or what mood you want to be in.

You can also do what I do. I tend to set intentions on the fly for most of my plant-based recipes. I base it on my mood that day and what I’d like to bring into my life or relationship (if I’m sharing).

If you are making food for the whole family, you can set an intention for them. If you have helping hands for the meal, you can base your intention on the people you are preparing it with.

For example, kids have kids’ energy. If one or all of your children are helping you prep a meal, you can set an intention to embrace your inner child, using the children's energy. This also connects you to your sacral chakra.

It’s fun to create intentions with food! Plant-based witchcraft uses the energy and metaphysical properties of the food to create something magical and mundane.

How to Lose Weight With Witchcraft

How does one lose weight with witchcraft? There’s the old-fashioned way, through diet and exercise. Then, there’s the witchy way, through spellwork.

You can start by putting your intention into the food you eat. If you intend to lose weight, you’ll want to focus on that.

Food carries magical and medicinal properties! Therefore, food can carry your intention for you. It can carry it to the deities you work with, the fae, or even to your higher self for proclamation.

Another thing you’ll want to start doing right away is visualizing yourself at your ideal weight! You can do this by visualizing yourself in a bikini or in a favorite pair of jeans you have outgrown. Do this each day!

I did this back in 2012, when I lost weight after my friend’s wedding sparked it! Each time I took a walk, I’d see myself at the desired weight I wanted to be. This works!

If it helps, you can even add a picture of yourself to the fridge or mirror, the way you used to be before you gained weight. This keeps the image in your mind and aids with visualization!

Next, you’ll want to purchase a brand-new yoga mat. By throwing the old mat away, you are symbolically getting rid of the old you.

It’s similar to when you start doing money witchcraft and purchase a new wallet. This symbolically signals to the universe that it’s time for a fresh wave of money to roll in.

Once you have your new yoga mat, you’ll want to enchant it (see my enchanting ritual below). You can also read my article on how to enchant nature-inspired accessories! This can work for any talisman, amulet, or charm.

You’ll be using your yoga mat for yoga, pilates, and meditation. You can skip this step if you prefer a different kind of workout! I always encourage people to try spiritual-based practices, but I also think it’s important to stick with the things you love.

I do yoga and pilates, four or five days a week. This is a mood booster, a calorie burner, and a way to open myself up to weight loss through spirit.

Next, you are going to want to take walks, especially walks in nature. I hike in the park several times a week. When I’m not doing that, you can find me taking outdoor walks on the trail near my house or around the neighborhood.

What is the purpose of this? Taking outdoor walks and hiking are not only great ways to burn calories but also magical ways to connect with the fae, deities, and spirits of the land.

I use my time walking to pray to my ancestors, deities, and to connect with the nature spirits I work with each day. Spending time with Mother Nature, breathing in the fresh air, wildcrafting, and connecting with the land spirits takes my diet and exercise program to a whole new level.

Spending time in nature has a host of health benefits! It eases anxiety and depression, lowers your heart rate, lowers the risk of heart disease, and increases vitamin D intake, just to name a few. You might like to try my hiking pretty spell for a confidence boost while losing weight!

How to lose weight with witchcraft? Create a weight loss servitor, enchant your yoga mat or dumbbells, use weight loss crystals, and call upon deities that can assist you with your weight loss journey!

Enchanting Your Yoga Mat

To enchant your yoga mat, you'll want to cleanse and bless it first! I use a combination of selenite wands, moonstones, and amethyst crystals and place them in a crystal grid.

To do this, you simply place a selenite wand on the mat horizontally, then place an amethyst or moonstone after. Then, place another selenite wand and another amethyst or moonstone. So on and so forth!

Selenite is a crystal that cleanses and clears energy. It balances all of the chakras, making it the perfect yoga gemstone. Amethyst is known for opening the third eye and creating a spiritual connection to the higher self.

As I’m laying each crystal down, I say aloud that I am both cleansing and blessing this yoga mat! When that is complete, I simply say aloud that I awaken the soul of my yoga mat. This is animism, where the belief is that every item has a soul.

To learn more about animism, you might read my article on green witchcraft, where I discuss it in more depth.

Additionally, I place tarot cards around my brand-new yoga mat and sometimes underneath it as part of the enchantment. I like the Queen of Wands for confidence, the Temperance tarot card for balance, and the Star Tarot card for hope, rebirth, and renewal.

You can enchant your yoga mat however you like. This is just the method that works best for me. Once you’ve set up your crystal grid and tarot cards, you’ll want to leave them overnight. The best time to enchant is during a new or waxing moon!

What does enchanting your yoga mat do? It depends on your intention! In my case, I chose to enchant my yoga mat for blessings with weight loss.

It acts as a talisman, bringing weight-loss blessings to me! This will motivate and inspire me to get on the mat more, as I watch those blessings roll in.

What kind of weight-loss blessings did I ask for?‍ ‍

  1. To feel motivated and inspired to lose weight

  2. To bring good luck in losing weight

  3. To look and feel good about my body as I am losing weight

  4. To become an inspiration to others while losing weight

You can make your intention however you like. You can keep it somewhat open, as I did, or you can make it more specific. If you want to lose a certain amount of weight in a specific timeframe, you can enchant your mat to do that for you.

All that matters is that you’ve made the intention to lose weight and plan to follow it through! Once you do that, you can add details and specifics to bring your yoga mat to life.

Create a Weight-Loss Servitor

To lose weight the magical way, you’ll also want to create a weight-loss servitor! This can be done using my article on creating an herbal astral servitor.

I used my yoga mat to create a weight-loss servitor. You can use your running shoes, Bosu ball, or weights to design a servitor that can perform tasks for you.

First, see above. I enchanted my yoga mat to bring the weight-loss blessings in! Then I awakened the soul of my brand-new yoga mat, bringing it to life so it is now conscious and aware.

Next, I gave my newly ensouled yoga mat a name and created a sigil to activate it. If you don’t know anything about sigils, you create a name, phrase, or intention and write it on a piece of paper.

In this case, I would use my yoga mat's name. I would cross out all vowels and double letters. Whatever is left can be crafted into a sigil.

You can make your letters as fancy or as pretty as you like! You can even add pictures to your sigil if drawing or doodling resonates with you more.

I usually circle my sigil and create arrows pointing to it with my full intention. In this case, my intention is for my yoga mat to become my weight loss servitor. Its main task is to help me lose weight, as quickly and efficiently as possible.

I include all the information about the servitor I am creating. This usually entails what tasks it will carry out for me, a feeding method, and a kill switch.

Logistics of my weight-loss servitor:

What is the name of my weight-loss servitor? Yogini. Yes, I kept it simple and straight to the point. Anytime I create a servitor, I choose names based on what they look like or what they do. You can name your servitor whatever you like!

What does my servitor look like? Again, I kept it incredibly simple. It looks like my emerald-green yoga mat, except that sparkles emanate from it, and it has beautiful green eyes with long, dark eyelashes. Always choose a magical element when creating your servitor!

What vessel will my weight-loss servitor live in? My yoga mat, of course! When you create any kind of servitor, you can choose to use a casing to keep it in (A necklace, suitcase, braid, or purse), or you can keep it completely in the astral realm. Your choice!

How will I feed my weight-loss servitor? Anytime I lose a pound, I am feeding my servitor. Anytime I practice yoga or Pilates on my mat, I am feeding my weight-loss servitor.

What is the timeframe of my servitor? My servitor will live on until I reach my goal weight of 108 pounds, and it will live on to maintain that weight until the yoga mat is ready to die.

What is my servitor killswitch? When my yoga mat gets old and worn out, I will throw it away. This is my killswitch. By this time, I will have successfully lost all of the weight and learned how to consistently maintain it.

As you can see, creating a weight-loss servitor is a fantastic way to meet your weight-loss goals! Again, you can create your servitor however you like. Even a gym bag can be transformed into a servitor for losing weight!

Deities That Can Help You Lose Weight

As a witchcraft practitioner, you have access to all kinds of spirits, and that includes the gods. While this is completely optional, I encourage you to reach out to the weight-loss deities and give them a chance! Your prayers and voice will be heard, and that’s when miracles can happen.

I’ve included a small list of the deities that are assisting me in my weight-loss efforts. I work with these deities regularly, and they often give me an intuitive nudge in the right direction.

When you first start out losing weight, sometimes there are so many options that you don’t know which way to go. This is what happened to me.

The first time I lost weight in my thirties, I felt a special calling to go on a long-term juice fast. This worked very well for me at the time and reset my body and metabolism. This time around, well over a decade later, I didn’t feel called to do that again.

This time around, I felt overwhelmed with so many options, so I decided to take a different approach. This is what led me to write this article and create a program based on current needs and values. I feel like I was led to this by the gods and following an intuitive nudge from within.

To invoke any of the following deities, head to your local park and take a walk in the heart of nature. During this time, pray as if you were talking to an old friend. Tell the deity what you need help with and what you’d like to accomplish. While spending time in nature, choose a flower, feather, acorn, or rock to give as an offering to the deity you prayed to, and say thanks! Listen for the signs and guidance your deity gives you, so you can take your first step toward weight loss.

Sun God Apollo - Apollo has been with me since the winter solstice, when I resolved to focus on health and wellness for the new year. This year, I finally got health insurance and a doctor I love and who resonates with me! Apollo has also been a great help to me on my weight-loss journey. He was the one who led me to intermittent fasting at times and to kick my exercise regimen up a notch! The best time to call on him is during the winter and summer solstices.

Sun God Hermes - Hermes has been a friend and deity of mine for years! He is one of the few gods who respond instantly when you request something from him, so you might see movement right away. Hermes is great for improving health, weight loss, and healing. Mercury in Retrograde or on a Wednesday is the best time to call on him!

Sea Goddess Aphrodite - Aphrodite is someone I talk to in the shower or bathtub almost every day! She’s with me when I go to the beach and practice sea witchcraft. She can be called upon for any health or self-care routine!

Goddess Venus (Planet) - I usually work with Venus on a Friday, which is her planetary day, and she helps with rituals, routines, beauty, and values. Robust health is associated with beauty. She can help you look good in a bikini and build killer confidence!

Greek God Ares- I work with Ares 7 days a week! He is in a committed relationship with Goddess Aphrodite, so I often talk to him in the shower, too. Ares is a god of war and is filled with Martian energy! He is great for motivation when it comes to working out and taking your health into your own hands.

Vitamins for Weight-Loss

Some vitamins can aid your weight-loss journey! I am only going to suggest the ones that I use regularly. I will never, ever recommend something I haven’t used before. Additionally, I am going to suggest you cleanse and bless your vitamins! You can do this in the same way you enchant nature-inspired accessories.

Multi-Vitamin - I take a women’s organic multi-vitamin daily! This, as most of you know, holds the key to many different kinds of nutrients. I consider this the staple of a weight-loss vitamin regimen. This is something everyone should take daily, regardless of whether you need to lose weight!

Cinnamon Pills - I take four cinnamon pills daily! Cinnamon supports metabolic health. The combination of cinnamon and chromium supports the healthy metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.

Vitamin C - I take two chewable vitamin C pills daily! Vitamin C supports immune, cardiovascular, and bone health. I believe Vitamin C helps with appetite suppression, fat oxidation after exercise, healthy metabolism, and exercise recovery!

Vitamin D3 - I take one tablet daily! Vitamin D3 supports bone, teeth, and muscle health. It can help you lose weight by minimizing fat formation, increasing serotonin levels, and suppressing parathyroid hormone, which can promote fat accumulation in adipose tissue.

Caution! The following vitamins work well but carry a risk. I would suggest using fewer pills than the directions indicate. It can cause stomach upset, gas, and a horrible bout of diarrhea when you take the full amount!

Myo - Inositol & D-Chiro Inositol - Supports healthy hormone levels, menstrual cycles, and ovarian health. It also supports healthy weight loss efforts. Many times, hormones can be to blame for weight gain, and Myo-Inositol can combat that!

Berberine - I take two Berberine pills daily! Berberine has many, many health benefits, including reduction in body weight, body mass index, and belly fat.

Magnesium - I take one magnesium pill daily! Magnesium reduces belly fat, prevents magnesium deficiencies, suppresses hunger, and reduces water retention. This makes magnesium an extraordinary weight-loss pill!

How to Cleanse and Bless Vitamins

  • Place them on a windowsill during a full moon

  • Surround your vitamin bottles with selenite wands overnight, then visualize a yellow, sparkling light filling your vitamins with supportive weight-loss energy!

  • Add a tarot card that supports weight loss! The Ten of Wands, Death, and the Eight of Cups make great choices for weight loss. Be sure to look up the meanings of the cards beforehand! If you are looking to have body confidence, I’d say the Queen of Wands tarot card makes a great choice.

  • Enchant your vitamins the way you would your yoga mat or gym bag!

Witchy Recipes That Support Weight-Loss

Salads - Salads are filled with nutrient-dense plant-based foods! There are many different types of salads, and I would suggest making a big salad once or twice a week to support fat loss. Here are my favorites for summer, fall, winter, and springtime!

Intention: Determine how much weight you’d like to lose with each season of life! If you’d just like to maintain your weight, make that your intention instead.

Summer Witchcraft Salad - Fill a bowl with butter lettuce, goat cheese, sliced strawberries, sliced almonds, cucumber, tomatoes, carrots, sweet onion, and a sweet, savory vinaigrette dressing! Be sure to put your intention into the salad as you make it!

Autumn Witchcraft Salad- Fill a bowl with baby greens, blue cheese crumbles, apple slices, walnuts, cherry tomatoes, sweet onion, and orange bell peppers! Next, use a creamy raspberry olive oil recipe to complete it. Be sure to put your intention into the salad as you make it!

Winter Witchcraft Salad - Fill a bowl with chopped kale salad, pomegranates, roasted pistachios, mushrooms, sweet onions, and chickpeas! Next, you’ll want to pair it with a white balsamic maple dressing to boost delicious flavor. Be sure to put your intention into the salad as you make it!

Spring Witchcraft Salad - Fill a bowl with spring mix, sunflower seeds, sugar snap peas, sweet onion, avocado, fresh herbs (chopped dill and basil), cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, radishes, two boiled eggs, and gorgonzola cheese. It tastes great with a fresh lemon dressing. Be sure to put your intention into the salad as you make it!

If you do this weekly, you’ll lose weight! I recommend replacing an entire dinner meal with a salad once or twice a week, so as not to get burned out on salads. You can also customize salad recipes or craft your own for good measure!

Putting your intention to lose weight into your salad preparation weekly

Mushroom Decomposer Weight-Loss Spell

This spell is great for any kind of weight loss! If you are looking to drop a few pounds or go down a few dress sizes, this is the spell for you. This spell is fast-acting and is best done under the baneful moon!

  1. Take a walk in the forest and choose small decomposers that can fit in a small jar or container. Be sure to do this safely with a mushroom guide or app. I would only suggest working with poisonous mushrooms if you are experienced and have taken the proper safety precautions!

  2. Next, put your intention into your fungi decomposers. You can do this on your forest walk or when you get home and start your spell jar. You intend to eliminate weight and fat. How much weight would you like to lose?

  3. Add weight-loss herbs and crystals at the bottom of your jar first. For speed and power, add a ginger root or ground ginger powder to your jar. For confidence, add rose petals, as they create a passion for losing weight and looking good. I also add lemon pepper for cleansing, healing, sun magic, and fast delivery! Add citrine crystals for weight loss and healing magic.

  4. Next, add the mushroom decomposers to the spell jar. This is the most critical step in the process. Put your intention into it! Be sure to add a taglock (blood, saliva, nails, hair, etc.) Close the jar lid and seal it with wax or whatever seems fitting! For weight loss, you might like to squeeze a lemon over the cork lid and push it in.

  5. Do this spell under the baneful moon for the best results!
